I originally got a hold of the domain zensites.net back in 2000 when I was teaching myself about linux servers. The name came from a friend of mine back in my wanderin' days. For the most part the domain gave me a learning tool to play with from controling a server to building a network.

For the most part the domain sat in the background and gave me a toy I would get around to play with one day. It kept track of my computer and a few of my friends and gave me a place to host a teamspeak server and the 'typebox'. Though besides for a simple nameserver the only real use of the domain for years was to host my fvwm guide.

A couple of years ago I put zensites.net on a server hosted by townstate, a social network my mother has been trying to develop for years. Since I had the space and bandwith I used zensites to share a bunch of photos I took on summer mountain climbing adventures. From the simple design I used generated via some bash scripts and basic HTML, I used this project to teach myself mySQL and php.

Zensites.net now is a simple social network in which I have designed and built the structure to control users, subdomains and content. My goal for this site right now is to encourage my friends and family to use it to share their photos and comments and to give us another tool to releate and learn about eachother. I have already got a few people to use the site to post their photos and I hope to get more.

I hope if you have found your way here you will check out my photography and get to see some of the wonders of Idaho. Thanks for taking time and enjoy your stay.
