Upper Pahsimeroi

Panorama Upper Pahsimeroi

The Pahsimeroi River runs from the Lost River Mountains along the back side, and is located in an area that sees few visitors. The Upper Pahismeroi is one of my favorite access to the Lost River Mountains, the highest in the state of Idaho.

This view is lookup up the two forks of the Pahismeroi, the East Fork on the left, and the West fork on the right. From left to right the main peaks you see up the East Fork are are Mount Corruption (far left), Mount Breitenbach (in the back), No Regret peak, Donaldson Peak (the tiny point) and Mount Church (the broad mount attached to Donaldson). Up the West Fork you have a view all the way up the Leatherman Pass, with Leatherman (second highest peak in idaho) on the left and White Cap peak on the Right. You can also see the point of Mount Idaho and at the far right Sacagawea Peak. You can't see Mount Borah (highest in the state), but it would be to the right just off the photograph.

I have spent a lot of time climbing the Lost River Mountains and have climbed most the peaks named above. For some photos of climbing up from the Pashimeroi River you can check out my climb of Mount Corruption, Mount Breitenbach, and Leatherman Peak.
